The End of The World in 2012 – Truth or Fiction
According to ancient mayan calendar 2012 is the year when our planet will be destroyed. Is this so though? And if it does, what will occur? There is debate on a lot of this. The destruction of the earth by a celestial body is one of these theories. This might be a black hole that comes near the earth. The fabled Planet X, Nibiru, could be returning after its epic orbit around our sun. The theorists think that Planet X will be passing very close to the Earth at some stage and it will be this that causes the earth’s destruction.
One of the other theories is that of an asteroid hitting the earth. But scientists have stated that there are no known asteroids heading for earth in that time frame. An asteroid will pass “close” to the earth, but the definition of close, in this case, is about 18 times the distance from earth to the moon. Although in astronomical terms this is close, it is not close enough to cause concern amongst astronomers and scientists.
Another theory is a massive solar flare causing a geomagnetic reversal event. The reversal will supposedly have the effect of change the two poles polarity, causing massive natural disasters.
There are many websites online that have advice and information on the 2012 phenomenon, but one such site has a mass of information. It is called december2012endofworld.com.
