How To Develop Self Confidence, A 5 Step Process.
Confidence is about believing in who you are whilst at the same time having pride in yourself and things you have accomplished in your life. Without it life can be very stressful, believe it or not but it will determine how you interact with people in this globalised world of ours. Today I’m going to usher in a new beginning for you; I’m going to guide you on how to develop self confidence.
First thing is first, take note of your race; circumstances and origin. What I like about this self acknowledgement is that it gives you an identity that will help find you when you’re lost. Apart from building pride in oneself it gives you a sense of belonging and you will never look at other people and wish you were them. An example is would be a poor person who has accepted who he is shouldn’t feel embarrassed when he’s around rich people, he has nothing to lose but all to benefit.
Every person has a talent or gift, something they’re good at doing, and something that they have achieved. The range of possibilities is endless when you look back to positive moments in your life when you were on top of everyone else. Now when you imagine how it feels to have a sense of achievement you will do it more often and begin to see your confidence improve.
Better yet, you should also make a list of your short to long term goals and work hard towards achieving them. Once you achieve one cross it out and focus on the next. The key to this step is giving yourself a sense of achievement that is good for your confidence, when you are under-achieving you will always feel pressured and that lowers self esteem. But if you’re achieving your goals you will be uplifted to the extent that you’ll enjoy social interaction more.
Despite what you might have heard people who look at you straight in the eye have a high self esteem and a lot of confidence. People who also keep their head up and don’t look down are again very confident. So next time you interact try practice this little by little; with time you won’t feel small but big in the presence of others. This is a wonderful source of confidence.
Step number five is basically about accepting that no one is perfect and everything will not always be set according to how you want things. Hence you might feel insecure if, for example, your shirt is wrinkled. Relax and make fun of imperfections without taking them seriously.
